I love their taisan. So creamy and delicious. I also love all their cakes. Not too sweet even the caramel yema cake. Very clean and friendly staff. Always smiling.

As I grew up going to Red Ribbon in LA, it was always a place of nostalgia for me. So finding out that there's one here in San Diego, I had to come and get some stuff.
I was disappointed that they didn't have my favorite Ube sponge cakes individually wrapped. I asked if I can order the large birthday cake from here as well in the future. The young man informed me that they were out of the individually wrapped Ube and that they don't do large cakes at this location.
Looks like they just sell baked goods that arrive from their main bakery.
I purchased...
Chicken empanadas
Pork empanadas
Beef empanadas
Sponge cake individually wrapped with cheese.
Sponge cake individually wrapped plain.
1slice if Ube cake.
1 slice of Mango cake
The sponge cake plain was delicious. But the cheese version was disgusting! They definitely have changed the type of cheese they use. This new version wouldn't melt and tasted like plastic. Nothing worse than your favorite foods changing for the worse.
The empanadas were ALL delicious! The cake slices were delicious as well.
Although I'm disappointed in some of the things, I'm still glad that there's a Red Ribbon near by. -

Came here to pick up a prepaid/ordered Mango Cake on late Saturday morning. I had no idea that so many people come here to get cakes.... there were 3 people in front of me picking up cakes.
Clean area... friendly staff. Very accommodating and they exercise patience with customers. I showed my receipt... and they showed me the Mango Cake. Note: they only do writing on the cake (which is included/complimentary in the price) and the colors to choose from are: white or pink. They had me write the message on a piece of paper, and then the Cake Writing Artist does his thing. It's not an easy job (or else I'd do it myself) but he does it with ease and beautifully! Also, if you need candles for a birthday cake, it's included (colors: blue or pink).
Parking can be rough as this is a busy shopping center (Seafood City is next door). So just plan accordingly and be patient when looking for a spot. Overall, great place, friendly staff, and yummy cakes. -

Stopped in to get my dad a birthday cake, and this is the one shop I know that has the ube coconut cake he likes. They also sell other baked goods and food here.
They only had the ube coconut cake in the log size, which is perfect for my family since we don't each too much cake. They use to have it available in the round size but I didn't see it in the pre-made fridge. It was a super quick stop, I picked out the cake and paid. I was worried it would be dry since it was pre-made and not ordered. But it was very moist and it was loaded with baby coconut inside. The whip cream was not overly sweet either. I really enjoyed it.
Not a typical stop for me, but if I am ever craving this cake I will come back again. -

I usually go to Red Ribbon to get butter mamon, ensaymada and their taisan loaf. I'm glad there's a Red Ribbon in Mira Mesa so I that I don't have to drive out to National City.
Ever since the Goldilock's in Mira Mesa closed down a few years ago this has been the go-to for mamon and other Filipino baked goods.
I came here on Saturday and they were having issues with their registers not working, it took a while for them to reboot the system but it all worked out okay.
Hopefully Red Ribbon opens a location in the Convoy/Kearny Mesa area soon!
